Musing – How Well do We Understand the Far Left Agenda?

Hebraic Musing – How Well do We Understand the Far Left Agenda?

Pastor Emeritus, Erwin Lutzer, of Moody Church in Chicago has declared on behalf of us Christians that “We Will Not Be Silenced; Responding Courageously to Our Culture’s Assault on Christianity.”*  His book is said by me and by others to be a must read for all Christians.  Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing?  The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.”  Ps. 2:1-3  NKJV

Lutzer’s book expounds on “the forces that seek to dismantle the core values that built up America.”  Let me tease you with chapter headings, introductions and a few salient snippets from the book.

Rewrite the Past to Control the Future, The strategies being used to delegitimize our Judeo-Christian past in order to make way for a wholly secular and Godless society.   What’s happening?  Destruction of History by burning books, toppling statues to delegitimize the Founding Fathers and America’s Judeo-Christian heritage.    After History is erased, then erase the constitution and Judeo-Christian heritage.   “If a person loses his memory, he does not know who he is.  When a nation loses its history, it becomes whatever people say it is. Based on the loudest and angriest voices.”  BTW – Similarly - The NT gets meaning from the OT.

Use Diversity to Divide and Destroy How harmful cultural ideologies are keeping the races in perpetual, endless conflict.    Using Diversity with Victimology to Divide Races, Genders, White Privilege, etc.  But John 17:22 says “…they may be one just as We are one.”  Victimization justifies Government dependency, providing “free” stuff for the “victims.”  But Prov. 14:23 says “In all labor there is profit,…”

Critical Role of Families in Our National Struggles. Biblical Marriage** What percentage of children going home to both original parents!?!?  Ask your public school teachers that question. (I suspect it’s less than 10%!)

Freedom of Speech for Me, but Not for Thee. The growing trend to stifle and shame those who uphold conservative or Christian worldviews, And Using Slogans to Mask Evil.  So they twist definitions to sell their agenda as Civil Right or as Love & Compassion.  Using Gaslighting to change Language to lower Crime Rates.
At first the Left applauded free speech; now it is deemed unfair, unjust and insensitive.  Ok for some groups, but not others.  Free speech for Christians is criminalized or shamed or mocked!  Defund the Police.  And calls from BLM to destroy images of Christ and deface houses of worship…(p.63)

Sell the Noble Cause. How propaganda is used to shape a population’s perception of reality so they will not change their minds even when confronted by compelling counterevidence.  The Importance of Climate Change.       “They” believe the earth cannot support more than about a billion people (not the 7 billion we have now), so abortion & euthanasia are needed.  Under the banners of compassion and justice, “Equality” is the banner for Same-sex Marriage, Economic (Socialism). The Focus is now on “Individual rights” instead of loving your neighbor.  All these issues are not to help the poor, but to organize for power.  Social Justice – Critical Race Theory (CRT) & Intersectionality stress inequality and assign blame and victimhood.  Their focus is on matters of diversity – gender identity, race, sexuality, ethnicity, class, etc. and ends with controversy about “White Guilt.”  BTW - Theirs is not a method to make people both free and equal.   “The Church is a Toxic Culture.”  Because of “social justice” and CRT it is difficult to have Biblical discussions about race and gender.

Sexualize Children.  How school curricula and popular culture are leading our children into sexual confusion and warped ideas of personal identity.  The Corrupting Influence of Our Public Schools.  Christian Colleges Submit to LGBTQ Values.   The Demonic Nature of What’s Happening in the Transgender Phenomenon.  Explicit curriculums subtly promote the LGBTQ agenda.  Destruction of the nuclear family.**   Promotion and legalization of drug use and pornography.

Capitalism is the Disease; Socialism is the Cure.   Why socialism is initially attractive yet ultimately leads to failure, and how capitalism can create wealth that furthers Christian work everywhere.   Capitalism is blamed for evil in society, charged with greed, materialism, selfishness, etc.; all leading to financial inequality.
BTW - Is Karl Marx still ruling from the grave?

Join radical Islam to destroy America.  Why and how two very different worldviews are willing to set aside their differences to eradicate Christianity and capitalism.

Vilify! Vilify! Vilify!  How disagreements today are no longer resolved with mutual respect and civility, but through shaming and outrageous denunciations.   “An educated citizenry is a vital requisite for our survival as a free people.” – Thomas Jefferson.

Wake Up!  Strengthen What Remains! Jesus, speaking to a New Testament church, gives a warning that applies directly to us today, and His assessment is the only one that matters.   “Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God.  Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent.”  Rev.3:2-3  Could Jesus have said this to us?

Points to ponder

Is Jesus our Lord, or has the world become our lord?  Whose judgement matters?

Can the Culture be Reclaimed without reclaiming the CHURCH?

How are we to protect Family, Friends and Ourselves from brain-washing?

“The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the LORD…” Ps.2:2 NIV

Musing – Have You Ever Said “No” to God?

Hebraic Musing – Have You Ever Said “No” to God?

The number one reason we say “no” to God is FEAR!  If the Lord asks you to do something, it might involve risk. He’s not going to ask you to be reckless or irresponsible, but He will ask you to step out of your comfort zone.  Saying “no” to God comes from both stubbornness and doubt.  Stubbornness, in that we want our will over God’s will, and doubt because we trust our plan over His.

Doing our will comes naturally; it takes no effort, it’s familiar. We can hardly imagine our life without it.  We are prone to entertain even the sins we actually dislike simply because they are routine and comfortable.  I wonder if anyone else ever had that problem?  Let’s see what some respected Bible characters did.

Adam’s original sin was the result of Adam and Eve's disobedience to God when they ate a forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden.  Adam & Eve played “hide & Seek” and finally admitted “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.” God asked, "Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?” Gen.3:10&11 NIV

Moses is often referred to as God’s friend (Exod. 33:11), but this ‘friend of God’ said “No” to God.  “… please send someone else to do it.” Exod. 4:13   God appears to Moses at the burning bush, and they have a long dialogue.  Finally, Moses doesn’t want to go because he has a fear of public speaking.  At least twice, Moses tells God “no.”  Finally, God relents and arranges for Aaron to be the spokesman for Moses (Exodus 4:13-16).

Jonah attempted to flee rather than carry out his assignment to preach repentance to Nineveh.  He had already said YES to God about being a prophet.  Once one agrees to be a prophet, he’s under obligation to carry out the responsibilities of the job.  “But Jonah ran away from the LORD and headed for Tarshish.” Jonah 1:3 NIV

Saul   In 1 Sam.15:8 Every Amalekite was killed except King Agag.  In v.9 “But Saul and the army spared Agag and the best of the sheep and cattle, …—everything that was good….”  Result?  In v.10 the Lord told Samuel, “I am grieved that I have made Saul king, because he has turned away from me and has not carried out my instructions.”  Saul had said no to carrying out God’s full command; he had a “better” plan!

David    Who was David listening to when he took the census in 2 Samuel 24?  God or himself or Satan?

Malachi talks about men who say “No” by robbing God.  (BTW  By NOT trusting, by NOT putting resources into God’s storehouse, we also deprive ourselves of God’s blessings)  So, by saying “no” to God, we are depriving the rest of the world of God’s blessings. Malachi 3:7-12

Peter responds, “No, Lord!”  three times before the vision ended in Acts 10:9-16.  And then when Jesus predicted His own death, impetuous Peter rebuked Him saying “Never, Lord! This shall never happen to you!”

Ananias also argued with God and held back; he didn’t want to go meet Saul.  Ananias thought he knew better; he was afraid; he thought he had a better grasp of the situation than God did!  He didn’t think God had all the facts!  He thought he could explain to the God of the universe that his way was better than HIS way.  Finally, in Acts 9:15 he listened when God said “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel.”  Thankfully, Ananias finally obeyed and a powerful ministry was launched!

I wonder how many have said “no” to God and as a result we’ve not heard of them again?  Looking back in life, I wish I had started an organization called “The Royal Order of the First Steppers.”  The Member Emeritus will be the first Israelite who put his foot in the Red Sea and saw it part before him!

Points to ponder

Do we take the first step to trust God when the Holy Spirit tells us to do something?

Saying “No” to God is an option, but is it a good one?  What’s it cost?

What happened when you said “no” to your parents?

What if God responded to our needs like we respond when God shows us the needs of others?

Why does anyone argue with God?   Do we do that too!

♫   I'm trading my sorrows, I'm trading my shame, I'm laying them down for the joy of the Lord.    We say
Yes, Lord Yes, Lord Yes, yes, Lord; Yes, Lord Yes, Lord Yes, yes, Lord; Yes, Lord Yes, Lord Yes, yes, Lord. Amen

Musing – What to do Before You Panic?

Hebraic Musing – What to do Before You Panic?

While journeying across the desert, the Lord said to Moses “Tell the Israelites, ‘You are a stiff-necked people. If I were to go with you even for a moment, I might destroy you. Now take off your ornaments and I will decide what to do with you.'”  If Almighty God said that to you, you could justifiably have a “Panic Attack.”  Have you ever had a dire situation?  What can we learn from Moses’ response to this dire situation?

“Now Moses used to take a tent and pitch it outside the camp some distance away, calling it the ‘tent of meeting.’  …  And whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people rose and stood at the entrances to their tents, watching Moses until he entered the tent.  As Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the entrance, while the LORD spoke with Moses.”  Exod.33:7-9

So, when Moses was frazzled by the idolatry of the children of Israel, he “took his tent and pitched it outside the camp.” This wasn’t the famous Tabernacle, which would be built later. This was an ordinary tent, or as Corrie Ten Boom called it “The Hiding Place.”**

Basically, Moses took his tent and pitched it outside the camp.  And it is clear that the LORD spoke to Moses in that designated “tent”!  And BTW, all the people knew that Moses was listening to the LORD in that tent.  What can we learn from this?  Might reading Exodus Ch. 33 carefully help us understand how to depend on the LORD?

David Jeremiah* saw a parallel with this cute little story:

When a creative mother in Chicago noticed her son was anxious during the pandemic, she came up with a biblical solution.  Together they made a prayer tent—a homemade pup tent—and set it up in a corner of the boy’s bedroom.  Whenever he felt afraid, he could go there, read his Bible or kids’ devotional book, pray, and feel enclosed in safety.

As children of God, can we utilize this mother’s solution to her child’s problem?  Should we literally build a prayer tent for our children; or maybe we need them for ourselves!  Actually, any quiet spot where we can get away from the distractions of the world and enter God’s presence in prayer is a special place of refuge and safety.

What did Jesus tell us to do?  “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” Matt.6:6   I wonder if Jesus learned that from Moses, or did Moses get that advice from Jesus?  Or did they both get it from the Holy Spirit?

Almighty God, creator of the whole universe, longs to hear from us!  And even more amazing, He is always listening!  AND He really wants to answer our prayers.  He loves His children.  So talk to Him.

Points to ponder

Christian, what are you afraid of?

When your children call on you, don’t you drop everything to listen?

What distracts you while trying to pray?  What can you do about it?

♫  You are my hiding place, You always fill my heart With songs of deliverance.
Whenever I am afraid I will trust in You

Musing - Do We Need God’s Help to Deal with Our Human Nature?

Hebraic Musing - Do We Need God’s Help to Deal with Our Human Nature?

What is Human Nature?  What does the Bible say about our Human Nature?   “Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.” Psalm 51:5 NIV

The Bad News: In Ephesians 2:1-3 Paul describes how that sinfulness impacts us to this day.  “As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.  All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful Nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by Nature objects of wrath.”  NIV

Is it a blessing or a curse that our “Human Nature” makes us distinctly human?  Here’s a hint of good news!    Our Human Nature is distinct from that of the animals and the rest of creation in that we can think!  The chief distinction between human beings and the rest of creation is our ability to reason.  No other creature has this ability, and there’s no question that this is a unique gift bestowed on us by God; best described in Genesis 1:27 “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him…”  And thus our ability to reason enables us to reflect on our own Nature and the Nature of God and to derive knowledge of God’s will for us, His creation.  We are the only ones in God’s creation that has a Nature capable of reason, to make choices!

The fact that we are created in God’s image means He has enabled us to have some understanding of Him and of His vast and complex design.  Our Human Nature reflects God’s attributes, although in a limited way.  We love because we are made in the image of the God who is love (1 John 4:16 “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.”).  Because we are created in His image, we can be compassionate, faithful, truthful, kind, patient, and just.  In us however, these attributes are distorted by sin, which also resides in our Nature.

Originally, our Human Nature was perfect by virtue of having been created so by God.  We were created “very good” by a loving God (Genesis 1:31), but that goodness was marred by the sin of Adam and Eve and entire human race fell victim to the sin Nature.

The Good News is that at the moment a person trusts in Christ, he receives a new Nature.  Second Corinthians 5:17 tells us, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” Sanctification is the process by which God develops our new Nature, enabling us to grow into more holiness through time.  This is a continuous process with many victories and defeats as the new Nature battles with the “tent” in which it resides—the old man, the old Nature, the flesh.  “For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.” 2 Corinthians 5:4

And for how long do we groan in our “tent”?  Not until we are glorified in heaven will our new Nature be set free to live for eternity in the presence of the God in whose image we are created.  Meanwhile “… because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,  made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.”  Eph.2 4-5

So we are doomed before we even began life.  BUT there is hope.  “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 NIV

Points to ponder

Am I groaning in my tent because I now have to continually confront my sin Nature?

Do we fully appreciate the Godly nature Father God gave us when He created us?
to reason      to reflect       to derive knowledge of God’s will     to make choices

Do you feel redeemed by Father God?

♫ I’m a new creation, I’m a brand new man. Old things are passed away, I’m born again.
      More than a conqueror, That’s who I am.  I’m a new creation, I’m a brand new man.

Musing - God Hates Sin, but does God Love Sinners?

 (To unsubscribe, simply reply “Unsubscribe”)

Hebraic Musing - God Hates Sin, but does God Love Sinners?

How often have we encountered someone committing an obvious sin or living a sinful lifestyle?  And to comfort them and avoid confrontation, we say “God hates sin, but He loves the sinner.”  But is that true?

What do the Psalms say?  (Here’s a few to start, read more Psalms to see what God has to say about sinners.)

·      “The arrogant cannot stand in your presence; you hate all who do wrong.  You destroy those who tell lies; bloodthirsty and deceitful men the LORD abhors.”  Psalms 5:5-6  NIV

·      “For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.” Ps.1:6

·      “Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way…”  Ps.2:12

·      “Deliver me, O my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked.” Ps.3:7

Right after the oft quoted John 3:16, we are viewed by Jesus himself as “Condemned” in v.18b.  “…whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.”  And the final result is in v.36 - “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him.”

When Jesus was going into the Garden of Gethsemane Matthew reports “Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, ‘My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me.’” Matt. 26:39   The “Cup” is not reference to the wooden cross; He was referring to divine judgment, the cup of God’s wrath.

Does the Gospel call us to “accept Him”?  Or to fully recognize who He really is?  “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.  Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'”  Matt. 7:21-23  Who really does the “Will of the Father”?

In his book “Radical” * David Platt makes this statement – “Our American dream radically differs from the call of Jesus and the essence of the gospel.  This differentiation is heightened when we contrast trust in the power of God with reliance on our own abilities.”  Our DIY nature wants to take over!

And David Platt goes on to say we have a problem with our modern day gospel which tells us “God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.  Therefore, follow these steps and you can be saved.”  HOWEVER the Biblical gospel says “You are an enemy of God, dead in your sin, and in your present state of rebellion, you are not even able to see that you need life, much less to cause yourself to come to life.  Therefore, you are radically dependent on God to do something in your life that you could never do.”  Which “Gospel” sells books and which one saves souls?

We live in a culture, especially in America, that exalts self-sufficiency, self-esteem and self-confidence.  We are taught that if we set goals and work hard we can achieve anything our heart desires.  These are good attributes; BUT do we leave room for God to have a role in the result?

Has the church reduced Jesus to someone who simply needs to be accepted?  Or is He to be our LORD, BOSS and MASTER?

Points to ponder

After all, who is God anyway?!?!

Do we really trust in God’s Omniscience, Omnipresence and Omnipotence?

If hard work and diligence gets our heart’s desire, why do we need God?

“These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.” John 5:39-40

Musing – Are We Supposed to be Building Our Church?

Hebraic Musing – Are We Supposed to be Building Our Church?

If we are busy building our churches, who is building the Kingdom of God?  Many in the pews of our churches would agree that we “ought to be building Our Church” and they are busy doing just that – decorating the building, designing programs to attract nickels and noses, inviting, supporting the building program, etc.

Jesus took his disciples on a field trip to the region of Caesarea Philippi where many different gods were being worshipped.  “He asked His disciples, saying, ‘Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?’  So they said, ‘Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.’”  Matthew 16:13-14  NKJV    Doesn’t that sound like today’s world?   If you ask people who Jesus is, you get a variety of answers!

Then Jesus got in their face and asked the most important question in v.15 - “But who do you say that I am?”    Impetuous Peter answered in v.17 - “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”   So Jesus complimented Peter with “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.”

Then Jesus explains to them the reason for this field trip to the North-East corner of Israel.  (BTW – I think He is speaking to us also.)  “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.  And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Mt. 16:18-19  NKJV

What did Jesus reveal to His 12 disciples and to us?

·      Peter, your answer shows your faith and it is solid as a rock.  So on this rock I will build My church, on that Rock of Faith. (Not Our church, HIS CHURCH, built on the faith of believers)

·      Jesus also told Peter that there is a kingdom of heaven and He is giving to Peter, and to you, the keys to HIS Kingdom with access to all the privileges.

Consider that Jesus mentions the word “church” only twice in the Gospels (Mt.16:18 & 18:17); that’s all!  But Jesus refers to the “Kingdom” over 50 times in Matthew alone.   Toward the end of Matthew 6 Jesus describes the things we people desire and need and then in v.33 He concludes - “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

The Jews were a lot like us, worrying about politics, nations, kingdoms and rulers.  So in Acts 1:6 the Jews  asked  “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”  Wrong focus!  Shouldn’t we all be working to restore the Kingdom of God here on earth?  In fact, Jesus tells us where we should all put our focus.  “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.  But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:7-8 NIV

Points to ponder

Would you rather have the keys to your church; or the keys to the Kingdom of God?

If we are His witnesses to the uttermost parts of the earth, will that grow the Kingdom of God?

What a thrill it is to introduce members to His Church!

What can we unlock with the keys He has given us to His Kingdom?

♫ Seek ye first the Kingdom of God And His righteousness And all these things shall be added unto you Allelu Alleluia Ask and it shall be given unto you  Seek and ye shall find  Knock and it shall be opened unto you ♫

Musing – Are You Simply a Christian? Or Are You an Overcomer?

Hebraic Musing – Are You Simply a Christian?   Or Are You an Overcomer?

"Right and wrong" - truth and righteousness - do not matter to any other species on Earth except us humans, because the ability to choose is for decision making – RIGHT(eousness) vs WRONG.  This is an important matter for us because we will be judged and our place in eternity determined because we are made in God's Image.  We don’t want to rely on the counterfeit “social justice” being demanded by the “world.”  We want the personal responsibility required biblically.

Unfortunately all too many Christians have been led to believe that Christianity is just a behavior modification system of morals.  No wonder the “world”, and many Christians, see no difference between Christianity and "the many other paths to God."  People want to believe that if something FEELS good, then it IS GOOD.  So "we are good" preaching emanates from pulpits motivated by the fact that to make the mortgage payments, pastors have to avoid offending the “nickels and noses.”

Thus in the last year especially, a numbness is overtaking Christianity in America.  America’s leadership is boldly declaring “we do not want or need God.”  It is not surprising that God has taken His righteousness and departing, leaving us with "might makes right."  BLM and ANTIFA supported by some big businesses and media have become the dominant "might makes right" force with full support passive media support.  No wonder they want to defund police.  Police are the only possible opposition to their extortion racket.

American Christians are COWERING!  We wanted and expected own bully called Trump to do the dirty work of politics while we prayed and complained and prayed some more.  But now that Trump is gone we can begin to see the irrelevance, cowardice and persecution of American Christianity being revealed.

Do Christians pay attention to the importance of ALL the “overcomer” verses in the Bible?  Who gets eternal life?  Why does the challenge to be an “Overcomer” appears over 30 times in our Bible!!!

Here are some rewards promised to “he who overcomes”:

Enthronement – Rev. 3:21  “To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne,
just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne
.”  NIV

Eternal Inheritance – Rev. 21:7  “He who overcomes will inherit all this, I will be his God, he will be my son.”

New Name – Rev. 2:17  “To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna.
I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it
.”

Authority – Rev. 2:26   “To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations“

Robe of Righteousness – Rev. 3:5  “He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out
his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels
.”

Spiritual Food – Rev. 2:7  “To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life,
which is in the paradise of God
.”

No Second Death – Rev. 2:11   “He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death.”

And here’s some homework – John 16:33;  1 John 5:4-5;  1 John 2:13

Points to ponder

Since only the overcomers get an eternal reward, what happens to NON-overcomers?
If a pastor points this out will he lose “nickels & noses”?

Is God allowing these social pressures, these Satanic originated challenges,
so that we and HE can see who is overcoming and who is NOT!!!!

The media has taken control of the narrative.  Hmmm…
Jesus was convicted and crucified not by the evidence, but by the world’s narrative.

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them,
because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
” 1 John 4:4 NIV
